Basis:

Methodical recommendations for the implementation and protection of coursework (project) in institutions of secondary professional education

(Annex 2 to order No. 287 of the Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 5 April 2004)

1. Generalities

1.1. This Provision defines the order of implementation and organization of protection

course work (project) students of secondary vocational training
institutions'.

1.1 performance of course work (project) is one of the forms of intermediate
control of independent creative work of students to perform
training programs in General professional and special disciplines.

2. The order of the course work (project)


2.1 the course work (project) is carried out in order to:

- systematization and consolidation of the obtained theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the specialty and their application in solving the issues;

- development of students ' skills of independent creative work, as well as the ability to practical application of theoretical knowledge to solve issues of industrial and technical nature.

2.2 the Number of course works( projects), the name of the disciplines for which they are provided, as well as the amount of training time for its implementation, are determined by the state compulsory standard of education. If the state compulsory education standards do not provide for the implementation of coursework (projects), the number, name of disciplines, as well as the amount of training time for their implementation, is determined by the organization of education. For the entire period of training is allowed to perform no more than three coursework (projects) in the disciplines of General professional and special cycles.

2.3 Course work (project) can become a part of the future thesis (project).

2.4 Term papers (projects) are carried out in the terms defined by the working curriculum of the organization of education in the specialty.

2.5 the Subject of term papers (projects) is developed and considered by the relevant departments, which determine the list of final topics, and approved by the Deputy Director for educational work of the organization of education.

2.6 Themes coursework (projects) must conform to recommended themes coursework (projects), quoted in standard and educational programs special disciplines.

2.7 Students are given the right to choose the theme of the course work (project), subject to the justification of its feasibility, which is associated with the program of professional practice of the student, and for correspondence students - with their direct professional activities.

2.8 upon submission of the relevant cycle commissions, the order of the head of the organization of education shall appoint the head of coursework (projects).

2.9 The head of the course work (project) conducts explanatory and Advisory work with students:

- on development of the plan of performance and definition of the contents of the explanatory note of course work (project);

- to meet the requirements for the graphic part of the course work (project);

- on the optimal allocation of time to perform individual sections of the course work (project).

2.10 the schedule of consultations is made during the course work
(project) at the expense of the amount of study time allocated for consultations on the curriculum.

2.11 the content of the course work (project) may be abstract,
practical, design, technological or experimental
character. The volume of the course work (project) should be at least 15-20 pages
printed text or 20-25 pages of handwritten text.

2.12 When performing coursework:

a) abstract nature, in addition to the disclosure of the content of the main sections, it is necessary to pay attention to the theoretical part of the work, which should be raised and resolved the issues to be investigated, the level of development of the problem in theory and practice;

b) practical nature, it is necessary to focus on the implementation of
theoretical and practical sections, which are represented by calculations,
charts, tables, diagrams;

C) experimental character, except theoretical section, it is necessary to pay the greatest attention to the practical part of work containing the plan of carrying out experiment, the characteristic of methods of experimental work, validity of a choice of the chosen method, the complete analysis of results of experimental work.

2.13 the structure of the course work (project) consists of an explanatory note,
graphic and practical part.

The explanatory note includes the basic calculations and a summary of the technological process of project work.

The volume of the explanatory note of the course project should be at least 3 pages of printed text, the graphic part is performed in pencil on 1-2 sheets of drawing paper of the size Al, A2, A3 in compliance with the established requirements of standards for drawing.

2.14 the explanatory Memorandum of the course work (project) of design in nature, in addition to the main sections should include: the part that contains the necessary calculations; a narrative that contains a description of constructions and working principle of the designed products; the organizational-economic part containing the economic substantiation of expediency of the course work (project)

2.15 explanatory note of the course work (project) of a technological nature, includes, in addition to the main sections: description of the production technology (manufacturing unit or part), which is developed for the technological process; description of the designed equipment, devices.

2.16 the Practical part of the course work (project) as a design and technological nature can be represented by drawings, diagrams, diagrams, graphs, products and products of creative activity.

2.17 upon completion of the course work (project) by the student, the head checks and together with a written review transmits to the student for review.

Acceptance, verification and preparation of a written review of the course work (project) is carried out by the head of the course work (project) outside the schedule of training sessions.

2.18 Coursework (projects) are protected and conducted according to the schedule approved by the Deputy Director for academic Affairs not later than two weeks before the beginning of the winter and summer sessions.

2.19 at the request of the student, the course work (project) may be defended in the state or Russian languages.

2.20 Course work (project) is evaluated on a five-point system. Assessment "excellent" in the discipline in which the course work (project) is performed is exhibited only if the successful completion of the course work (project) for an assessment not lower than the assessment "good".

2.21 the Student who received an unsatisfactory grade on the course work (project):

- it is not allowed to pass the final control of knowledge in this discipline

- the right to choose a new topic is granted or the revision of the previous course work (project) is allowed by the decision of the relevant subject (cycle) Commission.

2.22 Protection of course work (project) is accepted by the Commission from among teachers by the decision of the corresponding subject (cyclic) Commission.

2.23 completed and accepted from students coursework (projects) are stored in the archive of the institution for a period of one year. At the end of this period, all coursework (projects) are written off under the act and destroyed.

2.24 the Best term papers (projects) of educational and methodological value are stored in the relevant departments and are used as teaching AIDS in educational institutions.
